Helping to integrate physical activity opportunities into healthcare pathways.

Increasing access to physical activity opportunities tackles health inequalities and reduces costs to the NHS. Research suggests that a lack of understanding and access to information about local physical activity opportunities creates barriers for health professionals and physical activity referrers to signpost patients. We are exploring ways that OpenActive can help to improve the quality of data that is available for health professionals, and improve interoperability with the Open Referral UK standard.
